Using Grub to try Ubuntu which is not highly customized so a clean install of Ubuntu wouldn't be so bad. Likely I'll just delete the palemoon folder in /opt and see what happens. I don't know what I'll do next but I'm glad to have the PPA. But at least the browser works and the operating system seems OK with all this.
